What you'll do

As a Senior Full-stack Product Engineer at Instruqt, you will be part of one of our small cross-functional product teams. As a member of this team, you will design and build state-of-the-art software, follow best practices, & measure everything. You will be responsible for delivering projects from design to production.

Challenges you will solve

  • Write, review, & break down technical designs for product and engineering initiatives

  • Implement and maintain components in our frontend design system using atomic design principles

  • Design and build colocated backend services from API- to repository layer

  • Integrate backend, & frontend features with our sandbox infrastructure.

  • Improve and scale development practices across multiple teams

  • Proactively improve and optimize Instruqt’s development processes, & product

  • Share knowledge, & mentor colleagues

  • Ensure high availability: Our customers rely on our platform to run live virtual product workshops for hundreds of users; offer self-service demos and sales enablement workshops and training

  • Support existing services, and features when things go wrong.

Job requirements

We are looking for people eager to join a growing product engineering team. We believe that a small product team can build world-changing platforms and tools. To achieve this, we look for product-minded engineers, who bring fresh ideas, dreams, and ambitions to our team.

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience (preferably React/SQL/Backend development)

  • Be a mentor and sparring partner from a technical perspective for the rest of the organization (incl. technical + non-technical departments)

  • Design scalable, & reliable systems

  • Take ownership of the complex technical aspects of (parts of) the product

  • Proven track record of delivering value around the product

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills. We collaborate across small teams, clear communication is key to our success.

  • Leadership skills essential: ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive results.

  • You are passionate about product and user experience – customers are at the heart of everything you do!

  • Experience in an agile, cross-functional team and in a fast-paced environment
