Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Sales Engineer at Instruqt. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing value based technical support for prospects, communicating with sales teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your day-to-day tasks will include demonstrating product functionality, resolving technical issues, and delivering exceptional customer service.


You will be a key part to making our customer's journey successful. As part of this, you will be resolving complex technical issues in a wide area of domains, applications, and industries. In addition to your technical skills, an important aspect of this role is communication with internal and external parties. You must be comfortable talking to everyone from engineers to executives.


Your direct contact with customers will be very valuable for providing user feedback. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of our products by sharing these use cases with Product teams.



Job requirements

Role responsibilities


  • Lead the technical sales process, and work closely with Account Executives to close new business
  • Run technical demos to better understand customer needs and determine if they align with Instruqt’s value
  • Ability to execute detail oriented POV engagements
  • Resolve highly-technical issues for new and existing customers
  • Create and maintain training material, including examples, documentation, and videos


Minimum Qualifications


A bachelor’s degree and 5 years of professional work experience in a technical sales or engineering role.


This position requires a passion for continuous learning and professional development, so you must be very motivated and love to learn. Instruqt has a passion for lifelong learning and career growth. We also require:


  • Experience scripting (shell, python)
  • Linux system administration
  • Understanding of fundamental networking principles
  • Passion for automating manual processes
  • Hands on experience with container applications (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
  • Hands on experience with a public cloud platform such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
  • Understanding of value based selling frameworks and complex enterprise sales cycles
  • Excellent English language skills (written and verbal)
